About Us
About LWA Driving School
Welcome everyone to my website!
My name’s Adam, and I’ve been a driving instructor since 2019.
I previously worked in I.T. and web design, following ten years in the mobile phone industry with O₂ and the former T-Mobile.
I began my instructor training in early 2019, passing my advanced theory test (Part 1) and advanced driving test (Part 2), before completing six months as a trainee instructor. I later passed my final instructor assessment (Part 3) and started teaching full-time.
After two years working under a national franchise, I decided to go independent and launch LWA Driving School — giving me the freedom to offer more personalised lessons and create a friendly, flexible environment for my learners.

Teaching Through Challenging Times
During the Covid pandemic, I continued to teach key workers — including nurses and teachers — who were permitted to learn during that period.
It was a unique and challenging time, but it reinforced the importance of patience, safety, and adaptability in every lesson.
Today
I’m currently providing driving lessons across the Rotherham area, working with a full roster of learners and a small, patient waiting list.
I’m proud of my pass rate — 65% as of November 2025, based on the preceding 12 months.
Like many instructors, we’re facing the current DVSA test waiting time challenges, but I’m confident these will improve soon. In the meantime, I focus on keeping every student test-ready and confident.
Looking Ahead
The future for LWA Driving School looks bright.
We’re exploring the possibility of expanding to include additional instructors, potentially introducing an automatic car option to offer learners even more choice.
We also plan to continue our partnership work with local schools, expanding our Introduction to Driving programme to even more schools across South Yorkshire and beyond.
I’m extremely proud of our new website redesign (November 2025) and our unique Theory Practice page, which we hope to develop further into a dedicated learning app in 2026.
Thank you for visiting — see you on the road! 🚗
